Rep Team General Info

In order to allow our athletes an opportunity to enhance their basketball skills in a very competitive environment, while at the same time allowing development of life skills such as character, sense of fair play and sportsmanship, we offer an extension of our house league program to those wishing to participate at a Provincial level.

Any individual, who wishes to play in our Travel Team program, must attend all tryouts for the highest level Travel Team in their age category. If an individual wants to play a division up, they are required to attend their age category, as well as the desired age category. A player is required to play for the team they are chosen for.

Any individual who does not make the highest level team will then be invited to try out for the next level team, should there be one. A player who does not trout for the number one team is not eligible to try out/play for the second team. This will ensure that the tryouts are fair to all those who participate and that our players will play at the appropriate level of play.

Any player who makes a CYO Travel Team is prohibited from playing all- star basketball for any other organization during the same season. This is in conjunction with the guidelines set by Basketball Ontario.

All players participating in Brantford CYO Girls Basketball must be registered with Basketball Ontario and in fairness to the team, a full commitment is necessary. Although equal participation is the organizations wish, equal play time in our Travel program is not mandatory from Bantam age on. This will be left to the coaches discretion. Our Travel Team Program is well known and well respected throughout Ontario, therefore all players, coaches and parents need to maintain and uphold our good name.
