Executive
The Brantford CYO Girls Executive Team plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the operations. This dedicated group of individuals is responsible for crafting and executing strategic plans, setting organizational goals, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of youth sports programs. They often handle various tasks, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation, to provide our young athletes with safe and enriching sports experiences. Additionally, they work on fostering community engagement, recruiting and training coaches and volunteers, and maintaining partnerships with schools and other community organizations. In essence, the Brantford CYO Girls Executive Team is the driving force behind creating an environment where young athletes can learn valuable life skills and develop a lifelong passion for sports.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Brantford CYO Girls Basketball is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. As the programs grow, so does the need for volunteers. Assisting Brantford CYO Girls Basketball is an ideal way to support your community and assist in developing these young basketball players. High school students can complete volunteer hours. Below is a list of volunteer positions that CYO is looking for.
Available Positions
House League
Convener – sets up schedules, helps set up teams, supervises games and solves disputes at a site weekly for the basketball season. Coach – follows Basketball Ontario Mega Hoops skill development and coaches a team once a week for the basketball season. Scorekeepers and Referees – always welcome, no preplanning necessary, reports to site convener.
Rep Teams
Coach – basketball experience necessary, high commitment, two weekly practices, frequent evening games and weekend tournaments. All Coaches must have the NCCP level 1 certification. Complete Brantford CYO Girls Coach’s Application. Manager – organizes team events and helps set up games and tournaments.
