Brantford CYO Girls Basketball Organization launches Rebrand

Brantford CYO Girls Basketball Organization launches Rebrand

We have some BIG news!

After many years, the Brantford CYO Girls Basketball Organization is releasing a NEW, rebranded, Basketball identity!

Our rebrand includes a new logo, colors, and font. You’ll soon see our new look on our website, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and, on the soon to be released, rep uniforms.

Brantford is known for its strong roots in competitive sports and our new colours now proudly tie into our community. We are proud of our rich history and deep community roots so we will retain the logo’s core element, the Falcon which signifies strength and ambition .

We believe this new look better represents the evolution of our organization and amplifies our values of building character, self-esteem, and self-awareness as well as the qualities and skills that are required to succeed on and off the court.

Our Executive Team is thankful to Octopus Red for their guidance and the development of our logo, making this rebrand possible.

We’re looking forward to getting back on the court this season…especially looking so sharp.

House League Delayed – Rep Tryouts Available

As you may know, the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board has suspended Community Use of Schools rentals for the fall with a possible review in December.
Due to this decision, we will have to put House League play on hold until January 2022, at the earliest, and hope that we will have access to the Assumption College gym in the new year. We will be sure to keep everyone informed as information is made available to us.
We are grateful however, to be offering rep tryouts and team play for the 2021/22 season. Online rep tryout registration is currently open. If your child is interested in trying out this year, please complete the online form by this Friday, September 10 at 5pm.
The form can be found here.

Vaccine Update

Vaccine Update

As you are aware, the government of Ontario and the OBA have outlined requirements for proof of vaccination. We must follow these requirements and we are mandating them for the 2021/22 season.
As a program, we will continue to follow all Provincial and OBA requirements as they are released. In order for players, coaches, parents and spectators to participate, they must be fully vaccinated prior to the start of the OBA season. Our season will tentatively start in November 2021.
Please be aware that current vaccine requirements and COVID protocols are subject to change. We will advise of any changes as they occur.
It is our hope that everyone remains safe as we get back to play and that everyone follows all health regulations as they are released.
Here’s to a safe and healthy 2021-2022 season!

2020/21 Season Update

With the busyness of the Back-to-School season, we wanted to ensure that we are keeping you all as informed as we can regarding the 2020/2021 basketball season.

Due to the uncertainly around Covid-19 and the safest possible return to school for our kids this fall, we currently do not have access to proper facilities for play. Our house league and rep programs rely on local facilities in order to operate and we must wait for access to be granted as well as the guidelines and policies for opening before we can safely proceed.

At this time please be aware that the following has been delayed until further notice:

  1. Registration for the 2020/21 season
  2. House League play
  3. Rep tryouts

With that being said, we are constantly communicating with Ontario Basketball as well as our local representatives and will keep you updated as additional information is made available.

Stay tuned to our website and social media for immediate updates as we have them.

The health and safety of our players, coaches, volunteers and families are of the utmost importance to us. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this together.
