House League

Brantford CYO Girls House League Program is a grassroots, recreational program that focuses on the skill development and empowerment of youth between the ages of 4 and 14 years old. This recreational House League program has over 300 players and volunteers. The program aligns itself with sound research in the area of growth and development and follows Basketball Ontario Mega Hoops skill development. In our House League Program, every girl is important and will receive positive encouragement, regardless of their ability.

 

House League 2023

We are excited to announce that our house league program is starting on September 16th!

  • Online registration is now open 
  • We will not be hosting any in-person registrations this year, online only
  • House League program runs from September to the end of February
  • Sessions are held at Assumption College on Saturdays only
  • Cost per child $175 (sibling discounts are available)  
  • Payments made via e-transfer once registration is complete

House League Division Schedule
Please arrive at Assumption College for your Division’s scheduled time

  • Mini (4-5) – 9:00 am 
  • Rookie (6-7) – 10:00 am 
  • Novice (8-9)  – 11:00 am 
  • Atom (10-11) & Bantam (12-13) – 12:00 pm 

The first three weeks of the program will be skills based only.  These sessions will be run by Maga Basketball with assistance from our older rep players.  Please be sure to bring running shoes, a water bottle and infectious attitude.

 After the Thanksgiving weekend, all players will return on October 14, where they will be placed on their teams and ready to begin the season.

The objectives of the House League Program are to:

  • Promote fun, friendships and fitness
  • Teach basketball skills in a progressive and consistent manner
  • Teach youth the values, qualities and skills that are required to succeed on and off the court
  • Exposure to competition, fair play and sportsmanship
  • Involve and develop the skills of coaches, volunteers, officials and parents within our Brantford Community
  • Build character, self esteem, self awareness and memories to last a lifetime
  • House League teams play from September to February
  • The season wraps up with a Year End Fun Day
