The Brantford CYO Girls Executive celebrated a successful year with the players at our year-end banquet which was held at the Assumption Cafeteria. Due to the size of our program, the banquet was held over two nights; one on March 7th for the Atom – Major Atom – Bantam and Major Bantam Divisions and another on March 8th for the Minis – Rookie – Major Rookie and Novice girls and their families. A pasta and meatball dinner was catered by local resident Tom Mercante of Mercasa Banquet Services.
We welcomed just over 500 guests including players, parents and grandparents over the 2-day period. Each player received a 2016/17 Year Book and Souvenir. The girls had a wonderful time getting their books filled with signatures as well as viewing the year in review slideshow that played continuously during our event.
Our President Jennifer Kings-Nagy was the MC for the event and welcomed Erika Polidori as the guest speaker. Erika had a moving speech about sportsmanship and hard work and overcoming hurdles within yourself. We wish her continued success with all of her goals.
